Geography
Montville is centrally placed on the Queensland's Sunshine Coast, just 40 minutes to Noosa, 35 minutes to Mooloolaba, 35 minutes to Caloundra, 30 minutes to Maroochydore, as well as being just over one hour to Brisbane

Montville is on average about 430m above sea level, which not only means glorious views over the Sunshine Coast and hinterland, it also provides residents and visitors with one of the most comfortable climates in the world.
Population
The village of Montville has a residential population of approximately 900. When including the immediate area to Kondalilla Falls and Balmoral Lookout the population is approximately 1550.The area covered by the Montville Fire Brigade, which includes Flaxton has around 885 residences.
Weather
Summer temperatures usually range from 21°C to 28°C. Winters are normally dry and sunny with cool nights when the temperature drops to 10 to 15 degrees. Rainfall of around 1700mm is mostly received in concentrated short 'wets' during January to March.
It's rarely too hot or too cold, is essentially frost free and usually 3 to 4 degrees cooler than the Coast during the day, and yet warmer than the Coast at night in Winter, and cooler at night in Summer.
